Harpenden Academy Eco Council in Action

Our Eco-Council Meeting this week

The children worked together to create a bug hotel with things they had collected.  These included leaves, pine cones, twigs, and pebbles.

We discussed future projects they would like to carry out.  Their suggestions were as follows:

  • Protesting in Harpenden (Ollie)
  • Freaky Friday – when you don’t use the lights (Georgia)
  • Create posters to remind people not to litter and to turn lights off when they aren’t needed (Chloe and Phoebe)
  • Collect bugs to put in the bug hotel (Mila)
  • Go on a walk to raise money for plants (Georgia)
  • Create a time capsule to show how eco issues are affecting us now (Georgia)
