Samuel Ryder Academy celebrated our school’s Book Week and were absolutely overwhelmed by the number of students that elected to participate in the events, the read-a-thon in particular, with close to 200 secondary students wanting to read for the day! A wonderful reflection of how much we value reading at SRA.

Thank you to all students that participated in the activities, and also to staff for their support and enthusiasm for all things books.

Primary have had a wonderful week this week focusing on all things books and stories. It has been jam packed with activities with some of the highlights being ‘Stories by Twilight’, the dress up day on Thursday and the amazing production of The Secret Garden. It was amazing to see the array of characters and effort that had gone into so many of the costumes. The children all thoroughly enjoyed the week and we would like to say a huge thank you to the PTA for funding the production.
