The Hemel Hempstead School joins Scholars' Education Trust
Posted on 30/03/2023The Board of Trustees for Scholars’ Education Trust are delighted to welcome a new school into their multi academy trust. The Hemel Hempstead School, an 11-18 mixed comprehensive in Hemel Hempstead, will join the trust on 1 April 2023. The Hemel Hempstead School becomes the 7th school to join the Scholars’ Education Trust (SET).
SET was founded in 2012, and now consists of 7 schools: Buntingford First School, Harpenden Academy, Priory Academy, Robert Barclay Academy, Samuel Ryder Academy, Sir John Lawes School and now The Hemel Hempstead School. We are a cross phase trust providing a high-quality education for nearly 6,000 children between the ages of 4 and 18. Within our family of schools we have two primaries, an all-through school, three secondaries and an extended secondary.
The trust aims to ensure that the skills and experience of staff at all the schools are maximised to ensure that the students in our care receive the best education possible. Although all schools retain their own identities, the central “DNA” of the Trust is shared across the organisations so that no matter which school you are in, you will know you are a part of the Scholars’ Education Trust and that the values and priorities of everyone you meet will be the same.
“We are incredibly excited to be joining Scholars' Education Trust. Strong schools working together in collaboration creates more and better opportunities for students and colleagues alike, across the Trust, to excel and achieve the highest outcomes. We have been made to feel incredibly welcome by our new partners and look forward to great times ahead.“
Neil Hassell, Headteacher of The Hemel Hempstead School
“We are delighted to greet The Hemel Hempstead School as the newest member of the Scholars’ Education Trust. Neil Hassell and his team bring a wealth of expertise to our MAT and we are confident that, by collaborating closely at all levels, we will be able to help the young people in all our schools achieve even more than they ever believed possible.”
