World Earth Day

We celebrated World Earth Day in school this week.

In Reception we talked about how to look after our planet and read a story “Greta and the giants”, all about the story of Greta Thunberg. The children noticed that by making her signs, others followed and the giants stopped cutting down the forest.

We then became outdoor explorers to explore our garden looking for colours and textures with a partner. We used brilliant team work to check off the items and take photos with our iPad. We then sorted the items that we could recycle and reuse which would help look after our planet.

We took part in lots of crafts too. We wrote how we can help the planet, made Earth Day crowns and drew our own Earth pictures.
