Coronation Day at Harpenden Academy

With another long weekend to mark the historic event of the King's Coronation. The children in school have spent the last few weeks learning about our new King and this has culminated with today's celebrations. This morning in assembly we showed off our King and Queen costumes and shared some examples of the work we have undertaken. The children then decorated their crown biscuits and at 11.00am we had elevenses with squash and ate our biscuits. Thank you Laura for lovingly making 220 crown-shaped biscuits for the children. This afternoon the teachers have excelled themselves with an afternoon of coronation craziness.

The whole day has been very exciting and special for the children as we make memories for them to keep way into their future lives.
