BBC Young Reporter 2024

20240306 121122Some students from Media Studies across Year 10 and Year 12 took part in the annual BBC Young Reporter event on Wednesday 6 March. Working in mixed year groups, the students had to research, plan, write, film and edit their own news broadcast around different topics including the American presidential race, The Brit Awards and the current economic crisis. Students mirrored industry practice and the classroom turned into a newsroom!

All the students worked very hard, efficiently and creatively during the morning and produced some fantastic outcomes - they even lucky worked in the studio producing the final anchor sections too. You can watch the final broadcast - BBC Young Reporter - News - Sir John Lawes (sjl.herts.sch.uk)
