Fire Visit for Maple Class

Posted on 24/05/2024

Fire cdn3Following on from their work about fire safety and road safety, Maple Class and Chaulden Infants' and nursery were lucky enough to have a visit from local fire fighters. They talked to the pupils about their work and showed them the equipment on the fire engine that is used in rescue situations. If they wanted to, the children were given the chance to try on the firefighter clothing.

The children were also given the opportunity to have a go at using the fire hose. They had to aim the jet of water to knock over a traffic cone. Everyone also got to sit inside the fire engine. They all had a fantastic time.

A big thank you to the team from Hemel Hempstead Fire Station.
