Athletic Success

Congratulations go to the Robert Barclay Academy Boys Indoor Athletics team who in January became District Indoor Athletics Champions for the second successive time. The annual championships, held at Lee Valley Athletics Centre, brings together local schools to compete over a range of different athletics events including 60m, Hurdles, 200m, 800m, 200m Relay, Long Jump, High Jump, Triple Jump and Shot Putt.

The boys team were crowned overall Boys District Champions plus our Minor boys (Year 7) and our Inter boys (Year 10 & 11) teams also became District Champions for there age groups. Our Junior boys (Year 8 & 9) finished 1 point off second place. All of the boys played their part with special mention going to the winners of their individual event: Michael (60m and Long Jump), Myles (High Jump), Jaden (High Jump), Callum (Long Jump), Ben (Hurdles) and finally Max, Michael, Jacob and Ethan (Year 7 Relay team).

RBA also saw success in the girl’ s competitions with Tasha (800m) and Kudzai (200m) winning their individual events. Well done girls!
