Year 7 MasterChef

Last week we were delighted to welcome back former student and celebrity chef Theo Michaels to do a hands-on demonstration and launch our 7th MasterChef competition for a selection of our Year 7 students.

Following on from Theo’s success on MasterChef in 2014, we thought it might be fun for some of our younger students to take part in our own in-house competition. Theo was invited to come along to judge the competition but offered to do a demonstration before launching our competition, which proved a big hit.

Theo is a natural when it comes to engaging our students, asking for volunteers and getting them involved in the preparation and the cooking. This year they each made their own flatbread which they then filled with a choice of freshly cooked spicy rice, Cajun spiced chicken and cod, pan fried halloumi, a homemade guacamole salsa and some shredded lettuce.

And Theo was first to tuck in!!

As always, Theo’s contribution is invaluable and we are incredibly grateful to him for his continued support as he brings so much passion and inspiration to our students.
