A Step Back in Time
Posted on 17/01/2025Oakleaf Primary Year 3 had a great day immersing themselves in Roman life. Carl, from "Those history people" took the children on a whistle tour of what life was like for Romans. In the morning they made wax tablets, cleaned themselves using essential oils, learned about bath houses with a bum sponge, made a clay charm, mosaic, leather finger protector and took part in a pretend battle in the playground. In the afternoon they were archaeologists, looking for Roman finds and then investigating what they were and created a museum with the artefacts. What a lot of fun was had by all! A big thank you to the PTA for funding this great experience for our children and all the volunteers for ensuring the day ran smoothy.
